Sloan Struble, better known as indie-pop sensation Dayglow, recently released his highly anticipated record Dayglow<\/em> via Mercury Records before embarking on a major headlining tour across the United States this fall. Dayglow is a Multi-Platinum certified artist who has acquired billions of streams and multiple viral hits across his projects. In addition, Dayglow has sold out tours around the globe and played a variety of major festivals, including Outside Lands and Lollapalooza. When asked about this latest tour, Dayglow stated, \u201cI think Dayglow has to be seen live to get the full picture. The vibe during the shows is so inviting and fun. People are either smiling or dancing, but it\u2019s also common to do both. I think this tour is going to be the best yet by far. I feel healthy, happy, and ready to rock.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dayglow\u2019s latest tour included a stop at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, and it was definitely a must-see for old fans and new listeners alike. Up-and-coming surf-garage band Sun Room (Luke Asgian, Ashton Minnich and Max Pinamonti) from Southern California accompanied Dayglow on multiple stops of this tour, and they did a great job kicking off the show in New York. This was my second time seeing Sun Room, and as soon as they began their first song I was instantly reminded of their ability to put on a captivating and fun show. They played a high energy set that featured some of their most popular songs, as well as a handful of tunes off of their latest EP, Can\u2019t Explain<\/em>. It was also Luke\u2019s birthday, so the band took a few minutes during their set to bring out a cake to commemorate the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soon afterwards, Dayglow took the stage and opened with \u201cJunior Varsity,\u201d which is one of the songs off his debut album Fuzzybrain.<\/em> The crowd cheered with excitement and Dayglow mentioned how grateful and excited he was to be headlining a show in New York City. The entire set felt like a party, and Dayglow continued to encourage fans to have fun and dance between songs. One of the best parts about this concert was that Dayglow played his entire new album while also including songs from all of his previous albums as well, including the viral hits \u201cCan I Call You Tonight?\u201d and \u201cClose To You.\u201d He also made sure to include a few slower paced songs in the middle of his set, which was a great way to show the audience another side of his live performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dayglow\u2019s ability and desire to connect with his fans was evident at Hammerstein, and he effortlessly blended strong live vocals with powerful instrumentals. If you haven\u2019t already seen Dayglow in concert, this is your sign to do so!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
